What is ORSC™ ?

Whatever work we do, we are always in relationship. Through ORSC™ training we learn the concepts, skills and tools to be more effective with others.

ORSC™ (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching )  is an integrated and robust coaching model based on Relationship Systems Intelligence™. Beyond Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself) and Social Intelligence (relationship with other) is the realm of Relationship Systems Intelligence where one’s focus shifts to the relationship with the group, team or system. This approach creates sustainable, resilient and robustly more productive teams and families.
Some of the common ailments that plague relationships are:
• Ineffective or toxic communication
• Low morale, burnout, tensions
• Conflict avoidance and non-resolution
• Lack of creativity and productivity
• Confusion about roles
• Decision-making “stalls”

Through ORSC™ coach training you will be better equipped to handle mergers, acquisitions, downsizing and growth. Your teams will be more resilient, positive and fearless in the face of conflict and change. Individuals will be more adept at navigating politically-charged situations. You’ll feel greater confidence engaging entire teams in development initiatives.

ORSC™ represents a blend of general systems theory, process work, constellations, emotional and social intelligence, organizational development theory, Co-Active coaching, Positivity research and others.

100x12 ICF Accredited Coach Training
With more than 15 years of experience under its belt, the ORSC™ curriculum is the first relationship systems-focused ICF-accredited coach training program, allowing leaders interested in pursuing ICF accreditations to go to that path at fast pace.

ORSC™ Series

The five modules of ORSC™

All ORSC™ journeys begin with either the Fundamentals or ORS@Work module.  Both introductory courses are based on the same set of skills and principles.  Fundamentals is geared more toward personal coaching, therapy, or social work applications.  ORS@Work is designed specifically with HR, OD, LD, business coaching or consulting in mind.

The subsequent four courses in the series must be studied in sequential order, as content layers and builds with each module. On completion of the five modules, participants may choose to pursue ORSC™ certification.

Key Program outcomes

Effective Navigation of Change

Because the program takes a systemic view of all human interactions, it enables the team members to see themselves as part of a larger system, creating a dynamic, interconnected flow. It combines a higher view which enables us to leave judgment behind while leaning into the Team Entity and accessing its potential. The result is higher performance.

Optimizing Team Potential

The capacity that will make the biggest difference in a team’s effectiveness is the leader’s ability to relate to the team as a whole system rather than a group of individuals. A leader and his/her team need to become aware, responsive, accountable, intentional and co-responsible for the dynamics of the team system. By accessing information and wisdom from the Team Entity, a powerful collective intelligence is available.

Increasing Trust / Constructive Use of Conflict

Teams with high levels of trust and interconnectedness demonstrate energy, positivity and innovation. Trusting teams use conflict in a constructive manner, harnessing the creative potential of diversity while paving the way for emerging change.

Accessing the Voice of the System / Revealing the System to Itself

The model points to shifting from an individual paradigm to a group/systemic approach.

A New Mental Model for Success

The model provides a framework which leverages the interdependent relationships among team members to support the collective potential of the team. It helps equip leaders, teams and organizations with a mental model and mindset to access the raw potential in a team allowing its inherent intelligence and creativity to emerge.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 01

What is the foundation of ORSC™?

ORSC™ is based on Systems Theory, Process Work, Family Systems Therapy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Quantum Physics, Co-Active Coaching™, and more. At its core is the study of Relationship Systems Intelligence.

  • 02

How does ORSC™ work with other coaching and training methodologies?

The analogy that we like to use is that ORSC™ is an operating system upon which other applications, mental models and approaches can be reinterpreted. Once our students make the paradigm shift from engaging individuals to the entire group (what we call The Third Entity™) a whole new world of opportunities emerges. Many students report great satisfaction because what they’ve already learned and used in their work is even more effective when coupled with ORSC™ principles.

  • 03

    What is the Third Entity?

Jungian scholars might call it a collective consciousness, business consultants refer to corporate culture and therapists address family system dynamics. The Third Entity is that which lives outside the individuals in a particular relationship system whether a work team, family or couple. Still confused? John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were musicians. The Beatles is their 3rd Entity.

  • 04

Can I take ORSC™ modules in any order?

No. The ORSC™ course is a series of five modules and each module is a prerequisite for the next. Each must be taken in sequential order because the content follows on and builds.
The order of study to achieve ORSC™ certification is:
    #1 Fundamentals or ORS@Work
    #2 Intelligence
    #3 Geography
    #4 Path
    #5 Systems Integration

  • 05

    Are your courses ICF accredited?

Students who complete the entire five-course ORSC™ training series from Fundamentals through Systems Integration earn 84 CCEUs. Those who complete the ORSC™ Certification programme earn the credential ORSC™ and an addition 99.5 CCEUs.
